Anna Ruby Falls is in the U.S. Forest
Service Anna Ruby Falls Recreation Area part of the Chattahocee
National Forest in Northeast Georgia, USA. A short 0.4 mile moderate
walk up a trail along Smith Creek takes you to the falls. The visitor
center at the start of the trail is the end of the road through Georgia's
Unicoi State Park. Anna Ruby Falls is actually two sets of falls where Curtis Creek and York creek come together. Curtis creek drops 153 feet through two falls on the left, and York Creek drops 50 feet on the right. Smith creek then flows into Unicoi Lake, the Chattahoochee River, the Appalachicola River and the Gulf of Mexico. NOTE: these pictures are video captures, I will replace them with higher quality scans from negatives in the near future. Also, I will add some more pictures and perhaps some narative. If you see a place unlabeled or mis-labeled please let me know. cak |
